Last December, Google introduced its real-time search feature. And few months back, Google tuned up its search feature with an updated homepage and layouts also integrating its real-time search feature with tweets from twitter. But this is just not the end, Google just announced an update to the real time content filtering feature, focusing on bringing out the freshest information on the web.

Google Search has been enhanced with a comprehensive set of sources with a new home address, as Google says,

“Today we’re making our most significant enhancements to date, giving real-time information its own home and more powerful tools to help you find what you need.”

Now Googlers can get access to Google Real-time Search at a new address, www.google.com/realtime Google’s real-time search displays results from news sources and blogs, as well as from Twitter, Buzz and Facebook. The new homepage includes number of great tools to refine and tune up search results. With displaying streams of search results, Google Realtime Search also includes a “replay” feature that allows users to dig into the results’ archive to see how conversations took place in the past. One can also refine searches on geography (city, state, country) basis, including an option to view updates that contains pictures. Google has also added updates content to Google Alerts, that means one can create an alert to the “updates” to get email the moment the very topic appears on Twitter or other short-form services; with customizable email volume management.

An interesting new feature Google’s “full conversations” feature, which allows users to browse the entire conversation on Twitter. Tweets are organised from oldest to newest and indented to make it easier to see how the conversation developed, Google said on blog post.

With this rolling out of Google’s Real time Search, Google claims to be the only social and news updates search, though other real-time search engines like OneRiot and Collect are still there. Place your comments on what you think ?
