The world’s biggest chip maker company, explains on the fairly big acquisition of the security-oriented software company as the security that has been a major concern of day to day computing.
“With the rapid expansion of growth across a vast array of Internet-connected devices, more and more of the elements of our lives have moved online. In the past, energy-efficient performance and connectivity have defined computing requirements. Looking forward, security will join those as a third pillar of what people demand from all computing experiences,” – Paul Otellini, President and CEO of Intel.
Intel believes that an advanced hardware-enhanced security will help in minimizing the increasingly sophisticated threats of today and tomorrow. With this, the company is looking forward to deliver an outstanding computing experience in fast-growing business areas and wireless mobility as well.
McAfee’s acquisition and its hardware-enhanced security development might take data and online security to a different level. There are more possibilities yet to see.
